Device, intended for measuring of optical density. Measuring principle is based on loosening intensity of light at passing of it through layers(trapping).
TECHKON RS 400
The compact scanning devices revolutionize automatic measurements of densities and dot gains on any print control strip, color wedge or test chart. Operation is easy: The ergonomically designed instrument fits securely in your hand. Quickly glide it over the print test strip. Tracking wheels on the bottom of the device ensure a straight run. Two different models are at your choice: The scan-densitometer RS 400 finds its application preferably in 4-color printing and the scan-spectrometer RS 800 is especially designed for measuring spot colors thanks to its high-resolution spectral engine. The Windows software TECHKON ExPresso takes the measurement values and displays the ink-zone specific densitiy values at a glance on a computer screen. This permits fast and precise control of printing presses, thus enabling shorter set-up times, less paper waste and high print quality. On large-format print sheets, the device can be guided along a guiding track. This is now available in a motorized version as well. The linear track LT can be placed on any table without mounting, thus facilitating system installation even more.
Techkon ExPresso
The Techkon ExPresso software displays the ink zone specific density values as well as takes the measurement values of the device and displays the density values in a user friendly interface. Multiple functions - gray balance, trapping, tolerance settings and selection of standardization parameters - permit the application of the software for machine check-up and diagnosis. The combination of the Techkon RS 800 and Techkon ExPresso Pro give you precise control of printing, which means less set-up time, less paper waste and exact print quality

GretagMacbeth SpectroEye
SpectroEye combines the ultimate in measurement accuracy with exceptional ergonomics and user-friendliness, setting new standards for color measurement in the graphic arts industry. This handheld, portable spectrophotometer offers all the colorimetric functions needed to accurately measure and control special colors along with all the densitometric functions needed to quickly and easily monitor and control color on press.
PantoneFormula Scale
It is the name of the system of accordance of colors, invented by the company Pantone, Inc. of the USA. Plenty of paints is taken in the certain system and each of them is numbered for the receipt of identical results in polygraphy industry. Such reference to the color as P199 means the presence of color in a pantone row, in this case brightly red. In the book of standards of colors the number of P199C shows, how color will be look at a print on a coated or glossy paper. A color under the number of P199U shows, how paint will look at print on a uncoated or mat paper. Sometimes difference is very substantial. It should be remembered that the paints of pantone scale allow to get far more colors, than system of CMYK. This is important for comparison of results at a four-clored print and at a print the special paints.
